Saturday's online finals featured many familiar names amongst the 45 runners, including former Team members thesheep63, bigbalu67, whassup x, attilaattila, KristapsK3, and MickeMusxxx. The field also featured three former Team members fresh off their recent trip to Melbourne for the PokerNews Cup who were trying to book a return trip: Wieringen, PLWashy1, and wild_c4ll.

Demi82 was the leader at the first break, with AKauffeldt73 taking the lead at the second break, carrying it not just to the final table but still dominating the field when it was down to five players remaining:

Seat 1: GRANDCHEF67 ($26,410 in chips)

Seat 2: wild_c4ll ($56,380 in chips)

Seat 4: Wieringen ($26,681 in chips)

Seat 9: AKauffeldt73 ($110,494 in chips)

Seat 10: hsvhsv ($5,035 in chips)

hsvhsv would exit in 5th when his flush draw couldn't get their versus GRANDCHEF67's middle pair, and Wieringen would be the next to go, finishing 4th when he lost a race with J♣T♣ versus AKauffeldt73's 3♠3♥.

wild_c4ll, though, had made a big move when action was four-handed, and he held the chip lead with three players left:

Seat 1: GRANDCHEF67 ($46,230 in chips)

Seat 2: wild_c4ll ($104,455 in chips)

Seat 9: AKauffeldt73 ($74,315 in chips)

Three-handed play lasted for quite awhile, with AKauffeldt73 seizing control once again and grinding down his two opponents, who found themselves suddenly both down to about 30,000 chips. GRANDCHEF67 made his stand and shoved pre-flop with J♥T♥ but ran into AKauffeldt73's Q♠Q♣, which held to give him a huge lead in heads-up action with the $18,000 trip package on the line:

Seat 2: wild_c4ll ($28,410 in chips)

Seat 9: AKauffeldt73 ($196,590 in chips)

The end came as quickly as it could, with the first hand of heads-up play also being the last. All of the chips went in pre-flop and wild_c4ll needed some help, holding K♣Q♥ versus AKauffeldt73's J♥J♣.

No help would arrive, with the board blanking out and AKauffeldt73 taking down the hand and the victory, with wild_c4ll coming up just short in his quest to win a quick return trip to Australia for a major live poker event.
