Are You Ready for GSOP 5?

03:27 UTC August 16, 2010 by Seth Shafer

Each edition of bwin's premier poker series has gotten bigger and better, and GSOP 5 promises to be the biggest yet. Poker players should fasten their seat belts and prepare for 15 days of non-stop poker action, leading up to the $5,000 buy-in Grand Slam Final.

The fifteen GSOP 5 events feature a wide variety of formats and buy-ins, with over $2.5 million in guaranteed prize money. Whether your game is No-Limit Hold'em or Pot Limit Omaha or you prefer shorthanded action, freezeouts, or rebuy events, there's a little bit of something for everyone in the GSOP.

But there's even more fun and excitement in store this GSOP, as bwin is rolling out a new GSOP Mini series that runs alongside its bigger GSOP brother. The tournaments and formats are the same, but the buy-ins are much smaller, giving players with smaller bankrolls an equal chance to share in the GSOP glory.

As if that wasn't enough, that's right, there's even more. For the first time bwin is also offering extra prizes in the GSOP Challenge for players who prove they have what it takes to play their way to the final table in GSOP events. Stay tuned to the bwin poker blog in coming days for all the details about the GSOP Challenge, as far as the prizes up for grabs and exactly what you'll need to do to drive off with one.
