The regular action of GSOP 5 would wrap up on October 3rd, which would end this edition of the GSOP with a definite bang as players battled it out in a $525 buy-in tournament that would leave the winner nearly $100,000 richer when the day was done, as a very large field generated a massive prizepool to be divvied up amongst the players.

GSOP #15: 1,164players - $582,000 prizepool
GSOP Mini #15: 1,637 players - $81,850 prizepool

While you might have expected to see some familiar names from the bwin Team or other GSOP winners, the final table was surprisingly filled with largely new faces, who were fortunate enough to strike when the time was right as far as a deep tournament run in an event with nearly $600,000 in the prizepool.

1. Nadja-91 - $93,657 + $5,000 GSOP Grand Slam Finals entry
2. Shakersson - $65,067
3. a_baekke - $46,582
4. xxmikzz1 - $34,505
5. crazy-klaus - $25,509

In GSOP Mini #15, it was a similar story, as the top finishers were all making their first big cash of the GSOP 5 series:

1. pesurull - $12,345 + $525 Mini Grand Slam Finals entry
2. Sphud - $8,449
3. Andenil - $6,102
4. liam5555 - $4,467
5. Steppenwind - $3,292

While that wraps up the daily GSOP 5 action after two straight weeks o non-stop fun, there's still the Grand Slam Finals to be held on October 10th, as well as the GSOP Live Riga action that start in earnest on October 6th, so stay tuned for plenty of more GSOP action in the coming week.
