gsop live salzburgThe bwin Team is back in action again at another GSOP Live event, with the action shifting this time to Salzburg for a snowy change of pace.

We're down to the final table of nine players, with maxxll_1 and baddaxbing both with seats reserved for them as they try to take down the title at another live event for the bwin Team -- plus a first place prize of €62,760!

Follow along with GSOP Live Salzburg chip counts here and our constantly updated action below as the bwin Team continues its quest at GSOP Live Salzburg on Day 2.

17:15 - Level 26 - Blinds 25K/50K ante 5K

And we have a winner at GSOP Live Salzburg, with maxxll_1 coming up just shy of the title to finish runner up (€40,580) with Thomas Butzhammer putting in a dominating show at the final table to become the newest GSOP Live champion!

Heads-up play lasted just a few hands, with maxxll_1 getting his chips in pre-flop with KQ but Butzhammer once again woke up with a huge hand, tabling AQ which held to give him €62,760 and the GSOP Live Dominican Republic trip.

A huge round of applause for all the bwin Team members who made the money below, headlined by maxxll_1 coming runner up and baddaxbing making the final table as well!

Player Chips
maxxll_1 2nd: €40,580
baddaxbing 11th: €8,550

KandaharDave 17th: €3,480

17:02 - Level 26 - Blinds 25K/50K ante 5K

The last three players agreed to a deal a few minutes ago with details only known to them; we'll be reporting the official payouts but they may not reflect what players take home as they battle it out for the trophy.

Right after the deal Manfred Ronacher was busted in third (€27,540), which means that maxxll_1 is now heads-up for the GSOP Live Salzburg title (although he faces a very big chip deficit of about 1.2 million to 2.8 million for Butzhammer)!

16:44 - Level 26 - Blinds 25K/50K ante 5K

And then there were three, with two quick busts to get us down to three handed play. Jari Rattya fniished in 4th (€21,740) and David Breitfuss in 5th (€16,810), leaving maxxll_1 and Manfred Ronacher with the tall order of chasing down monster chip leader Thomas Butzhammer.

16:20 - Level 26 - Blinds 25K/50K ante 5K

We're now down to five players and here's how they stack up:

Seat 2: maxxll_1 – 1,050,000
Seat 3: David Breitfuss – 690,000
Seat 6: Manfred Ronacher – 465,000
Seat 8: Thomas Butzhammer – 2,450,000
Seat 9: Jari Rattya – 335,000

Short stacks are now under a ton of pressure with rising blinds so hopefully maxxll_1 can ladder up a few spots on the pay table in short order.

15:40 - Level 25 - Blinds 15K/30K ante 5K

maxxll_1 hasn't been shy about tangling in plenty of pots and with six players left he's right at the top of the chip counts again, second only to Thomas Butzhammer.

All remaining players are guaranteed to make at least €13,330 and several of the remaining players are dipping into the danger zone, so expect some fireworks shortly in what's been a relatively slow-paced final table as far as bustouts.

maxxll_1 has been raking in lots of pots so far at the final table.

14:10 - Level 23 - Blinds 12K/24K ante 3K

baddaxbing's run here at Salzburg has ended with an 8th place finish worth €8,550. He'd gotten very short stacked when his re-steal attempt ran into pocket queens and was in good shape to double up with AJ versus K10 but a 10 on the turn sent him to the rails.

In happier news maxxll_1 is neck and neck for the chip lead, sitting with just over 1 million chips!

baddaxbing had a great run at Salzburg and will take €8,550 home!

13:20 - Level 23 - Blinds 10K/20K ante 2000

The action started with a bang here at the final table, with short stack Karl Rosengard eliminated very early to get us down to 8 players left.

Here are the final table payouts:

1st € 62,760 (plus GSOP Grand Final Package)
2nd € 40,580
3rd € 27,540
4th € 21,749
5th € 16,810
6th € 13,330
7th € 10,730
8th € 8,550
9th € 7100
