EuroBasket 2009:

Strong teams like Spain, Greece and France met in Poland at the European Championship of Basketball. Right in the audience there were sitting seven poker players, who enjoyed seats for the final round at the "Tribune of Honor“, a get-together with the basketball stars, and the bwin royal treatment that all players get to experience at bwin live events.

Spain made its way through the EuroBasket Finals 2009 to claim the crown, with France, Greece and Serbia crushed by more than 20 points!

The exciting atmosphere in the basketball hall at the final games

While the teams went to their half-time break, the bwin poker players celebrated as a part of the half time show – at the free throw contest in front of the packed arena.

“Epi” Juan Antonio San Epifanio Ruiz – former professional basketball player – hosted an exclusive basketball training session with the players and provided insight into the world of Europe’s professional basketball.
