The blogging team made their way over to the Rio today to check in on media row and grab our credentials, as well as to rub elbows (well, figuratively, from a distance) with stars of both Hollywood and the poker world, as the Ante Up for Africa charity NL poker tournament event was held today at the Rio.

If theres a mic around, it doesn't take long to find its way into Phil Hellmuths hands

The charity event (founded by Annie Duke and Don Cheadle) has in its history raised more than $2 million for the survivors of the crisis in Darfur, Sudan. With the winners typically donating their winnings back to the charity, it’s a great chance for fans to see some of their favorite stars in action at the tables, while raising money for a great cause at the same time.
Celebrities in attendance today included Jason Alexander, Brad Garrett, Cedric the Entertainer, Herschel Walker and Matt Damon, as well as poker pros Andy Bloch, Erik Seidel, and Phil Hellmuth.
