The bwin Team are pros at both the poker tables and at enjoying the very best that Las Vegas has to offer. With years of experience of hitting all of the Vegas hot spots, who better than the bwin poker blog to provide you with this guide to enjoying Las Vegas.

Below you'll find just a few of our favorite spots around town, including tips for great restaurants, hotels, and poker action in and around town. In a city like Vegas it's hard to go wrong but this can ensure you get off to a great start.

Hotels:

The bwin Team has stayed at some of Vegas finest hotels during its trips to Vegas, including the Wynn, the Palazzo, the Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, and Caesar's Palace.

All are obviously among the best that Vegas has to offer, but players and bwin staff alike tend to give the biggest thumbs up to the Wynn, the Palazzo, and the Bellagio. The luxurious rooms offer a safe haven from bad beats and the Las Vegas heat, and some of the world's finest restaurants are just a short stroll away.

Restaurants:

Las Vegas is known for its food and fun, and the bwin Team has enjoyed more than its fair share of both during trips here. While bwin players are here for the poker action at the WSOP, they've also been treated to dinners at a variety of world-class restaurants around town.

While it's next to impossible to single out any one restaurant as the "best" in Las Vegas, meals at certain restaurants have definitely stood out. N9NE Steakhouse and Nobu Las Vegas have consistently earned high marks with the Team, as have Postrio and Rao's. For a more casual (but just as filling meal), it's hard to beat In-N-Out Burger.

Poker:

Las Vegas is very much the center of the poker universe during the WSOP, with thousands of the best poker players from around the globe flocking to the desert to try their luck. While the WSOP at the Rio is the obvious focus, there's always tons of action all around town in various poker rooms, with cash games and tournaments abounding.

As far as poker tournaments, it's hard to beat the WSOP action at the Rio, as preliminary events let players take a shot at some huge prize pools (usually well over $500,000 for 1st) for as little as $1,000 buy-ins, and other tournaments and satellites run daily during the WSOP. The Venetian, though, is a close second, as their Deep Stack tournaments offer a ton of play at slightly lower buy-ins of $340 and $550. On the cash game side, the Rio and Venetian also rank well there, along with the Bellagio and the MGM Grand.

Sightseeing on the Strip:

It'd take an entire book to detail all of the sightseeing stops on the Vegas strip, as the city is essentially one big tourist attraction. Having seen and done it all, some of the bwin Team favorite stops on the Strip include the rides at the top of the Statrosphere, catching a boxing or UFC match, Cirque du Soleil shows, Blue Man Group, and sampling some of the Vegas nightlife at clubs such as Tryst, Lavo, Pure, and Ghost Bar.

Sightseeing off the Strip:

While it'd take many trips to experience all that Vegas has to offer, there also tons of fun to be had off the Strip as well. With the bwin Team spending nearly two weeks in Vegas during their WOP adventure, it's also nice to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy some of the activities outside of town.

Trips to the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam are always a hit, and the annual Team trip to Lake Mead has been the highlight of the trip for many players, as the private beach, jet skis, and party boats offer up the perfect chance to escape the Vegas heat. Throw in some dune buggy racing in the desert and you have the perfect recipe for fun.
